Good Till Triggered (GTT) Order Policy

1. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to define the governance framework and operational procedures for handling Good Till Triggered (GTT) orders by Eureka Stock & Share Broking Services Ltd, ensuring they comply with SEBI circulars and respective exchange requirements.

2. Definition of GTT Orders

A GTT order is a type of trigger-based order that remains passive until a defined market condition (trigger price) is met. Once triggered, it is converted into a regular limit or market order and sent to the exchange for execution.

3. Eligibility and Scope

GTT orders are available in exchange segments subject to internal and exchange-level risk parameters.

Each GTT order is single-use – once triggered, it is executed and removed from the system.

4. Trigger Criteria and Order Validity

GTT orders are configured with:

  • A trigger price
  • A limit price or market price for execution once triggered

Validity: Orders remain active for a maximum of 1 year unless:

  • Trigger condition is met
  • Client cancels it
  • Corporate action or compliance issue forces removal

5. Client Controls and Transparency

Clients can place, view, modify, or cancel GTT orders via the web or mobile platforms.

Full GTT order book and history are available to clients on demand.

6. Risk Management and Trigger Processing

GTT orders are not live on the exchange until triggered. Upon trigger:

  • RMS validation (margin availability, exposure limits, position limits) is conducted.
  • Only validated orders are sent to the exchange.

GTT orders do not block margins unless triggered.

7. Handling of GTT Orders in Case of Corporate Actions

To safeguard clients’ interests and avoid unintended trades due to corporate actions (such as dividend declarations, bonus issues, stock splits, mergers, etc.), the Company shall adopt the following mechanism:

  • Cancellation: All unexecuted GTT orders will be automatically cancelled one trading day prior to the ex-date of a corporate action.
  • Notification: Clients shall be informed of such cancellations.

8. Order Tagging and Audit Trail

Every GTT order is uniquely tagged with:

  • Client ID
  • Trigger reference
  • Timestamp (created/modified/triggered)

All lifecycle events (create/modify/delete/trigger/failure) are logged and archived for audit compliance.

9. Exchange and Regulatory Compliance

  • All GTT systems are aligned with SEBI algo guidelines where applicable.
  • Though not treated as traditional algos, GTT logic and triggers are internally audited.
  • Any suspected misuse or pattern matching manipulation is reviewed and escalated.

10. System Safeguards and Controls

  • Trigger engine runs with time-stamped market feed, and is tamper-proof.
  • Retry and fail-safes in place in case of trigger execution failure.

11. Dissemination of the Policy

  • This Policy shall form part of the Account Opening Form/Kit under the section of the Policy and Procedures.
  • The Policy shall also be made available on the Company’s website and trading applications.

12. Policy Created and Governance

  • This Policy is reviewed annually or upon material change in regulatory framework.
  • Reviewed by the internal Audit and Compliance Committee.
